How it works

One homework night, step by step, with the screens you will see.

1. Photograph the page

Keep the page flat and in good light. We first check that it is Arabic schoolwork: other photos are turned away. Then we read every word and every vowel mark.

The page

أَعْرِبْ ما تَحْتَهُ خَطّ:

  1. ١.كَتَبَ الطالبُ الدرسَ

2. We explain the rule to you, in your language

Before any question, you get the rule in Arabic, English or French, with an example from the page. Two minutes is enough.

The rule, for you

In a sentence that starts with a verbفعل, the doerفاعل ends in a damma ـُ and the objectمفعول به ends in a fatha ـَ.

3. You ask your child the hints, one at a time

Each question has three hints. You read one, your child answers, and the hint tells you what to listen for. The next hint only appears when you ask for it.

The first hint

Ask: who did the writing?
Listen for: الطالبُ (the student)

4. Only then, compare with the answer the teacher expects

When your child has given an answer, you tap to see the teacher's answer and the reason. Before that tap, it is not on the screen.

The answer stays hidden until your child has tried.

What happens when we are not sure

If the photo is unclear or two of our checks disagree, we do not guess. We show the rule only, and suggest you ask the teacher.

We're not fully sure about this one

The photo or the question is unclear, so we won't guess the answer. Here is what we can explain safely:

In a sentence that starts with a verbفعل, the doerفاعل ends in a damma ـُ and the objectمفعول به ends in a fatha ـَ.
