For teachers
Wajeb helps parents help their children with Arabic homework. It is built so the work stays the child's.
What it does
- It explains the lesson to the parent, in Arabic, English or French.
- It gives the parent three hints to ask, one at a time, for each question.
- After the child has tried, it shows the answer you would expect, with the reason.
What it does not do
- It does not show the answer before the child has tried.
- It does not write answers for the child to copy.
- It does not guess. When unsure, it shows the rule only.
Why the hints come before the answer
A child learns the rule by finding the answer. The hints walk the parent through the same questions you ask in class, so the child does the thinking at home too.
The parent holds the account
Wajeb is for parents. The child does not have an account, and the explanations are written to the parent.
Checking the child's work
When a parent checks finished homework, each answer is marked "looks right" or "have another look". The correct answer is never shown there.
Questions teachers ask
Can a child use it to copy answers?
It is built against that. The answer only appears after three hints and a tap that says the child has answered, and the account belongs to the parent.
Does it replace the teacher?
No. Wajeb follows your lesson. When it is unsure, it tells the parent to ask you.
Which grades?
EB1 to EB6, Lebanese national curriculum (CRDP).
Which languages?
The work stays in Arabic. Explanations to the parent are in Arabic, English or French.
