Wajeb

You don't need to remember your own Arabic lessons to help with theirs.

Photograph the lesson or the homework. Wajeb explains it to you in Arabic, English or French, and gives you the questions to ask your child.

No card needed, 2 pages a month free.

How a homework night works

  1. 1. Photograph the page

The homework sheet or the lesson in the textbook. We check it is Arabic schoolwork and read it.

  2. 2. We explain the rule to you, in your language

A short explanation for you, with an example from the page.

  3. 3. You ask your child the hints, one at a time

Each hint tells you what to listen for. Your child does the thinking.

  4. 4. Only then, compare with the answer the teacher expects

With the reason, so you can say why.

The answer stays hidden until your child has tried.

What we will not do

We do not show the answer first.

We do not do the homework for your child.

We do not mark a right answer wrong without saying we were unsure.

We reject photos that are not Arabic schoolwork.

What you can do

Explain a lesson

Photograph the lesson in the textbook. You get the rule, the examples and the words to know, so tonight you can teach it.

Help with homework

For each question, three hints to ask, then the answer the teacher expects, once your child has tried.

Beta

Check their work

Your child has finished? We read their answers and tell you which ones to look at again. We never show the answer, only what to look at.

Dictation

We read a text aloud, phrase by phrase. Your child writes it, you photograph it, and we go over each word with you.
